Our history in dates and facts

1953. The beginning of the history of the vocational school. On October 3, 1953, the Ministry of Agriculture began training qualified workers for agriculture on the basis of the forest protection station, who, after graduating from the institution, worked in the fields of Sumy and other regions of the country. Vasyl Yosypovych Kravchenko became the head of the educational institution.

1954. Oleksandr Vasyliovych Gadyatskiy became the head of the institution. This period was marked by the development of virgin lands in the country. More than 3,500 graduates were sent to work in Kazakhstan, 1,500 of whom remained there to work.

1966. Due to the land reclamation works in the Sumy region, the school was subordinated to the Ministry of Water Management and Land Reclamation. At that time, training of specialists in the following professions began: bulldozer, scraper, grader, excavator, pumping station, and land reclamation operators.

1972. The school became a secondary vocational and technical educational institution, where students could receive general secondary education alongside their vocational training. At the same time, the material and technical base of the school was changing: two educational buildings, two dormitories, a boiler room, and later a dining room for 400 people and four 16-apartment buildings for school employees were built.

1986. Volodymyr Arkadiovych Tymoshenko became the director of the school. Training began for workers in the following professions: tailor, master of rural construction, shop assistant, cook and confectioner.

1997. In response to the needs of the time, the school began training skilled workers for forestry, including foresters and forest rangers.

2000. Anatoliy Troyan became the head of the vocational school. The staff worked on strengthening the educational and material base, participated in competitions for the “Best Institution of the Year,” professional skills, theatrical arts and songwriting, where the school won prizes.

2003. Lebedyn Vocational School No. 34 acquired the status of a higher vocational school of forestry. Training of computer typesetters and computer typesetting operators began.

Since 2006, Anatoliy Maksymovych Kozubenko has held the position of the director of Lebedyn Higher Vocational School of Forestry. The state standard for the profession of “Forester” was tested.

2007. The college began training students in the profession of “Car Repair Mechanic.”

2008. By order of the Ministry of Education and Science No. 131 dated March 26, 2008, the Lebedyn Higher Vocational School of Forestry was renamed the The State Educational Institution on vocational training “Lebedyn Higher Vocational School of Forestry.”

 2012-2014. The college began training skilled workers at advanced levels in the professions of plasterer, cook, tailor, and auto mechanic.

Hard work, a high level of responsibility to society for training highly qualified personnel, and a desire to do everything as well as possible have been and remain the main focus of the Lebedyn Higher Vocational School of Forestry.

2015. Appointment of Anatoliy Troyan as the director of Lebedyn Higher Vocational School of Forestry.

2019. Bronze medal at the 10th International Exhibition “Innovation in Modern Education.”

2020. Professional skills competition in the profession of “Agricultural tractor driver-operator” using modern technology, namely Case Magnum.

2020. Collaboration with the Eco Farm agricultural enterprise for the social project “Snails in Ukrainian Cuisine.”

2021. Opening of the Career Development Center.

2021. Silver medal at the XII International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions 2020-2021.” World Edu International Education Exhibition.

2021. Silver medal at the XIII International Exhibition “Innovation in Modern Education.” Work “Introduction of the latest production and pedagogical technologies in the professional training of skilled workers for public catering enterprises” in the thematic nomination “Introduction of innovative projects, models, systems, technologies, and methodologies aimed at improving the quality of education into educational activities.”

 2022. Bronze medal at the XII International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions -2021.” Work: “Creation and implementation of modern teaching aids, products, programs, systems, and comprehensive solutions to improve the quality of education.”

2022. Silver medal at the XIII International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions – 2022.” Work: “Implementation of effective models for improving the quality of vocational (vocational and technical) education.”

2023. Silver medal at the XIV International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions – 2023.” Work: “Introduction of information and communication technologies into the educational process: modern solutions and prospects for development.”

2023. Gold medal at the XV International Exhibition “Innovation in Modern Education.” Work: “Application of innovative technologies for the development of digital competence of participants in the educational process.”

Nowdays, The State Educational Institution on vocational (vocational-technical) training "Lebedyn Higher Vocational School of Forestry" is the state educational institution of the third certification level, subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The educational institution consists of typical and adapted buildings located on a territory of 36.2361 hectares. The total area of the land plot is 750.7295 hectares, including 633.9934 hectares of arable land and 80.5000 hectares of hayfields. The total area of the premises is 15,161 square meters. The teaching area is 3,740.6 square meters. There is 11.6 square meters per student. The design capacity is 720 people.

The State Educational Institution on vocational (vocational-technical) training "Lebedyn Higher Vocational School of Forestry" has 25 classrooms for theoretical classes. For practical training, there are 5 workshops with an area of 622.2 square meters and 10 laboratories with an area of 737.7 square meters, a library with a reading room with an area of 247.4 square meters, a sports hall with an area of 309.9 square meters, an assembly hall with an area of 333.8 square meters, a dining room with an area of 1288.8 square meters, a dormitory for students with an area of 2093 square meters, a driving range with an area of 5500 square meters, and a tractor range with an area of 2 hectares.

The Educational Institution has a medical station equipped with the necessary equipment and medicines to provide first aid.

All premises of the educational institution are used for their intended purpose for the educational process.

The State Educational Institution on vocational (vocational-technical) training "Lebedyn Higher Vocational School of Forestry" is equipped with the necessary vehicles and other equipment.

The educational and material base complies with sanitary standards, and comprehensive methodological support for professions is 86%.
