This blog is dedicated to skilled professions which are taught at our vocational school and aims to develop students’ professional English through real-life topics, storytelling, and creative digital content.
Skilled for the Future is an educational blog created by students of The State Educational Institution on vocational (vocational-technical) training "Lebedyn higher vocational school of forestry".
The blog presents professions taught at our institution, such as forester, builder, cook, tailor, tractor driver and driver. Through real-life stories, photo posts and practical tasks, we learn how to use English in professional situations.
The main goal of the project is to improve our professional communication skills in English and to show the importance of vocational education in nowday’s world. The project helps us combine language learning with our future careers.
The blog includes different sections: profession descriptions, students` blog posts, a professional glossary with transcription and examples. This format makes learning English more interesting, practical and interactive.
Skilled for the Future shows that skilled professions are valuable, modern and important for society, and English can be a useful tool for professional growth.
